A notably heavy producer of self-fertile fruit and excellent pollination partner of neighboring plum trees, the Bubblegum Plum tree is an excellent addition to an existing orchard or as a standalone fruit tree. Also known as Toka, the reddish-bronze fruit it extremely sweet like candy, thus earning the name Bubblegum Plum. Flesh inside of fruit is dark orange. This variety was developed in 1911 is in fact a cross between the American Plum tree and Fragrant Chinese Apricot. The Bubblegum Plum tree will reach 20 ft. in height and width and is very cold hardy, withstanding temperatures down to -40° F.
