Enjoy orchard-fresh sweetness right from your backyard with the Ambrosia Apple Tree. Celebrated for its honey-sweet flavor, satisfying crunch, and juicy flesh, Ambrosia produces beautiful apples with a rosy-red blush over a golden-yellow background. Its naturally low acidity creates a mellow, refreshing taste, making it a delicious choice for anyone who prefers a sweet apple without a sharp, tart bite.
Ambrosia apples bring everyday versatility to your home harvest. Enjoy them straight from the tree, slice them into salads, pair them with cheese, or tuck them into lunchboxes. Their flesh is slow to brown after cutting, making them especially appealing for fruit platters and prepared snacks. These attractive apples also keep well when refrigerated, so you can continue enjoying your harvest beyond picking day.
In spring, delicate pinkish-white blossoms brighten the landscape before developing into flavorful fruit that typically ripens in September or October, depending on your climate. The tree’s upright growth habit makes it an attractive addition to a backyard orchard or edible landscape.
Grow your Ambrosia Apple Tree in full sun with well-drained soil and consistent moisture. Suitable for USDA Zones 4–8, this variety needs a compatible apple tree with overlapping bloom nearby for pollination; Honeycrisp or Granny Smith are common choices. With its inviting sweetness, colorful fruit, and crisp texture, Ambrosia is a rewarding apple tree for homegrown snacking, sharing, and seasonal enjoyment.
