Due to its distinctly narrow and columnar form, Amanogawa is the ideal cultivar for smaller landscapes desiring the elegant and impactful presence only Cherry Blossoms can display. Large, semi-double, light pink saucer-shaped flowers carpet the upright branches when in full bloom. These aromatic and complex blossoms can measure up to 2 in. across and contain up to 15 petals layered onto a single flower. This tree has become especially popular in urban and suburban landscapes, as well as a low-maintenance sidewalk tree which reliably puts on a stunning display year after year. It has great seasonal ornamentation, with additional bright orange-red foliage in autumn. Amanogawa Cherry Blossom Tree, botanical name Prunus Amanogawa, is suited to USDA zones 5-9, with part to full sun. It reaches 15 ft. to 25 ft. H and remains incredibly narrow at only 8 ft. to 10 ft. W at maturity. The prolific blossoms of Amanagowa are a true spectacle that perfectly complement the overall columnar form of this tree, providing a virtual tower of blossoms every spring in even the smallest of landscapes.
