Some of the most recognizable pears, Bosc are easily identified by their cinnamon-brown skin and unique shape. The elongated neck of a Bosc pear sharply widens out to achieve a nicely rounded spherical form on the bottom. Their thick outer skin and heavily firm texture protects Bosc pears from both pests and harsh weather conditions! Also known as the Kaiser pear, Bosc also has one of the latest harvest seasons of all pears. These delicious pears typically don’t reach their peak ripeness until late September to the middle of October. Bosc pears extend the harvest season of fruit
